Self-introduction

Hello, I’m Mai Nonaka.
I was born and raised in Hida Furukawa, and I still live here with my husband and our three daughters.
After graduating from a junior college specializing in early childhood education, I spent one year in the United States as an au pair. After returning to Japan, I worked in childcare in Hida before leaving my job to focus on raising my children. I am now working as a certified local tour guide in the Hida region while raising our three daughters. Through my tours, I hope guests can experience not only the famous sightseeing spots, but also the warmth of the local people and the charm of everyday life in Hida. As a local resident, I love sharing the scenery, culture, and personal connections that make this area so special, all in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
With my background in childcare, au pair experience, and years of parenting, I also strive to create tours where families with children can feel comfortable and enjoy their time together.
